Antikrates aus dem Demos Phaleron und seine Mitvorsitzenden. Beschlussvon Rat und Volk; Leon S.d. Kichesias aus dem Demos Aixonestellte den Antrag: Da die Offiziere unter dem Archon Olbiosihr Amt in guter Weise ausgeübt haben und gemäß den Gesetzen, undalle Opfer, die sie zusammen mit den Generälen zu opfern verpflichtet waren,aus eigenen Mitteln geopfert haben für den Rat unddas Volk; sie auch Sorge getragen haben - - -ein jeder für seine Einheit, damit sie, auf das beste ausgestattetmit Waffen, zu den Paraden undzur Wache ausrücken; sie stets auch in allenanderen Belangen Gehorsam geleistet haben den Generälen gemäßden Gesetzen; – Damit nun ein Wettstreit sei unter denen,die dieses Amt ausüben werden, es in ehrgeiziger und gerechter Weise auszuüben,zu Glück und Heil!, wolle beschließen der Rat: dass die Vorsitzenden, dieerlost sein werden zum Vorsitz im Volk für die kommendeVolksversammlung, hierüber verhandeln lassen und die Beschlussvorlagedes Rates in die Volksversammlung einbringen, wonach der Rat beschließt,dass man belobige die Offiziere unter dem Archon Olbiosund sie bekränze mit goldenem Kranz gemäßdem Gesetz wegen ihrer Leistung und ihrer Tapferkeit für denRat und das Volk der Athener; dass ihnen auch sein sollein Ehrensitz bei alle den Festspielen, die die Stadt ausrichtet;dass diesen Beschluss der Sekretär, der während der Prytanien amtiert,aufzeichne auf eine steinerne Stele und aufstelle - - -- - -; dass für die Aufzeichnung auf die Stele die Finanzverwalterdie entstandenen Kosten geben.vacat 0,062

Assembly. Of the presiding committee Aischinesson of Antikrates of Phaleron was putting to the vote and his fellow presiding committee members.The Council and People decided. Leon son of Kichesias of Aixoneproposed: since the commanders of tribal regiments of the archonship of Olbios conductedtheir office well and according to the laws and have madeas many of the sacrifices which they were meant to with the generals, allfrom their own resources, on behalf of the Council andPeople, and managed - - -each for his own tribal unit, so that they (the soldiers) might turn outequipped with arms as well as possible to their inspections andguard duties, and they continued in allother ways to obey the generals in accordance withthe laws; so that those about to conduct this office mightstrive to serve with love of honour and justly, for goodfortune, the Council shall decide: that the presiding committeeallotted to preside in the People at the forthcomingAssembly shall put the matter on the agenda and submit the opinionof the Council to the People, that it seems good to the Councilto praise the tribal regiment commanders of the archonship of Olbiosand to crown them with a gold crown according to thelaw for their excellence and [manly virtue] towards the Counciland Athenian People; and they shall have frontrow seats at all competitions that the city puts on; andthe prytany secretary shall inscribe thisdecree on a stone stele and stand it - - -- - -; and for inscribing the board of administrators shall givethe expenditure accrued.
